An ordered, unblown but already painted balloon can be refilled with help by the owner, starting communicative action to fill the plant with teh air of an unknown person.

Luftballons, Atemluft der Besucher, ca. 100 x 100 x 20 cm, 2017
Eine runde Glasplatte wird von Luftballons getragen,
die mit der Atemluft von Ausstellungsbesuchern gefüllt
sind. Unter dem Druck verlieren einzelne Ballons im Laufe
der Zeit an Form. Nun bedarf es einer Aufforderung
vom Ausstellungspersonal an Besucher um neue Atemluft
zu sammeln. Der neue Ballon ersetzt den erschlafften,
um die Stabilität der Skulptur zu gewährleisten.
A glass plate, lifted and balanced by the breathing air
of various people. At the beginning of an exhibiton all
balloons are filled up with breathing air by the visitors.
As soon as one of the balloons looses shape, squeezed
by the pressure of the glass plate, the exhibition
staff starts to communicate and tries to find visitors
who are willing to spend their breath to refill a new
balloon to replace the one shrinking, to keep up a stable
form of the work.
